Domestic Violence (DV) also known as Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) is violence against someone. It includes threats, intimidation, coercion, stalking, psychological, sexual, physical, emotional, verbal, and aggravated or simple assault. DV/IPV is committed by intimate partners, family members, or other relatives. 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men will experience domestic violence in their lifetime. In the LGBTQIA+ community, the statistics are the same.

No one is exempt from domestic violence regardless of age, gender, religion, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.
